Security FAQs

How secure are payments made through iDon'tQ?

All iDon'tQ payments are processed by Elavon, one of the most secure payment merchants in the world.

How secure is the payment process?

Think paying with your credit card. Our payment process meets PCI standards, which means it’s just as secure as the card transactions you make every day.

Will my financial data be stored securely?

Yes. Your credit card information is never stored on your mobile or transferred to merchant systems, making iDon’tQ even safer than carrying around a card and using it to pay over the counter.

What if my phone gets lost or stolen?

The app is protected by a personal four-digit PIN number which you enter each time you place an order. To protect you against the loss or theft of your mobile, the app will lock if the PIN is entered incorrectly 3 times in a row. To reactivate the app you will need to reset the PIN with new card details.

Do I lose my money if an order is refused or cancelled?

No. Because your money is held by your bank but not released until the vendor completes the transaction. So if you cancel an order before you receive a confirmation notification, no money has actually changed hands. And if a vendor refuses an order, again no money will have left your account.

When is the money taken from my account?

When you place an order the money is held by your bank and then transferred as soon as the vendor completes the transaction. It normally takes up to 24 hours to show up on your account.

How are payments made through iDon'tQ?

Payments are made through your chosen credit or debit cards and processed through Elavon, one of the most secure payment merchants in the world.

Can I use a different payment card each time I make an order?

Yes. You can assign a number of payment cards to the app, and tag one as your favourite. When you place an order you can select your preferred card.

What numbers should I use for my PIN?

Your PIN needs to be secure. Choose four digits that you can easily remember, but that won’t be obvious to anyone else. We recommend you use a different PIN to those that you use for your bank cards.

Can I keep track of how much money I've spent?

Yes. It’s all stored in the app. All the orders you’ve placed, and the amount you’ve spent. In future versions you’ll be able to have your receipts emailed to you weekly, or on request.
